Junior Sailing Class
Junior members ages 8-18 are invited to participate in the club’s Junior Sailing Program. Supervised sailing and instruction are held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. for the first and third Sundays of each month. Young sailors are taught basic sailing skills and learn to sail aboard the club’s Optimist prams, Picos, Lasers, or Hobie 16’s. As experience increases they will have the opportunity learn racing skills and participate in local junior regattas. Learning to sail promotes self confidence and self reliance along with social skills and team work. Please note that all the kids MUST know how to swim and wear proper swim attire and shoes.
